If you crash immediately after pressing the play button it is most likely the result of having an outdated user-interface.

The following files are required to run newer versions of the game (1.110+).

new_summary_window
menu_bar_window
main_menu_window
interface_elements_window
casual_group_finder_window
group_options_window

Copy the missing files from the ui/atlantis folder or find a more up-to-date interface.
